It is his job to pressure Central Government Politicians and the Minister of Police in particular, to get more resources allocated to get more Police “On the Beat” as he, as Mayor, has no power and should have no budget in this field. It is not his job as Mayor to get Police “On the beat”.
He also wants to get more Police on the beat. What does “getting local businesses to the table” mean? Or is this just glib meaningless and empty words. “In one of his first key campaign speeches, the Manukau councillor said more police on the beat, better resources to support young people and getting local businesses to the table will make communities safer.” Look at the fool, Efeso Collins who wants to be Mayor of Auckland. Why do idiots that support the Labour Party and that is supported by the Labour Party, wish to become Politicians.
